Choosing your writing mat

Starter Mat - If your child is under 3 years, I would start with a pre-writing mat (sold as a single mat or in a pack). This focuses on first name only and pre-writing skills.

Single Mat or Pack - A selection of writing mats can be bought as a pack offering greater value but they can also be purchased as single mats too.

Font - Most children start learning using our standard font but some school will teach using a precursive font (with lead in and exit strokes on the letters). If you know your child will be be taught using precursive handwriting in their reception year then pick a precursive mat.

Description

Our latest flashcards set for your little learners is "Under The Sea".

These brightly, coloured, fun flashcards aid the development of language as well as consolidating the learning of key learning areas - such as colours, number and positional language.

They have been designed to be not only fun for your child, but enable you to develop
two way communication by asking your child questions about the cards. 

Questions have been added to the back of each card but we encourage you to develop this further by exploring each card with your child as much as you can.

    Under the sea!

    Bought these to use with my 15 month old granddaughter to use with our beach/ summer/ sea life themed play over the summer months! After only a couple of weeks she is pointing to the cards when asked ‘where’s the crab’ etc! They are bright, colourful, clear and hard wearing- will be used for a good few years to come!!
    Have since bought more flash cards!!

    Found some repetition in the images of this and the other two sets of flash cards i purchased at the same time, which was disappointing...
    I think they could be improved by using real photographs of the images.
    Size and durability are good.
