The mat looks ideal to practise early writing patterns and teaching how to write name. I would have given 5 stars but mine got damaged in the post so had several creases on delivery. One crease ran into letters so not sure how good it will prove to be when I begin using it with my grandson. I was offered a full refund for this damage though so I cannot fault the excellent customer service. Many thanks
