Choosing your writing mat

Starter Mat - If your child is under 3 years, I would start with a pre-writing mat (sold as a single mat or in a pack). This focuses on first name only and pre-writing skills.

Single Mat or Pack - A selection of writing mats can be bought as a pack offering greater value but they can also be purchased as single mats too.

Font - Most children start learning using our standard font but some school will teach using a precursive font (with lead in and exit strokes on the letters). If you know your child will be be taught using precursive handwriting in their reception year then pick a precursive mat.

Description

These are slightly DEFECTED STOCK (except for the Halloween flashcard & baby stimulation flashcards) that just don't have a box) but are perfectly suitable for use. 

They come in a green organza bag and not the usual flashcard box 

Packs will contain 10 double sided cards unless stated otherwise

  • Differing fonts or card stock being used to make up a pack

  • Orders placed between 31st March and 5th April will be posted 16th April
  • Orders placed between 6th April and 21st April will be posted 30th April
  • Orders placed between 22nd April and 1st May will be posted on the 9th May
  • Orders placed between 2nd May - 11th May will be posted on the 16th May

Clear, durable and engaging

My 14-month-old loves the flash cards - the images and font is clear and simple yet colourful and fun enough to engage her. She likes to fold over paper and card in her hand so has been doing that with her flash cards, but they seem pretty durable and are faring well!

Bought a set for my 18 month old granddaughter. She loves playing with these and can now identify most of the pictures. I’ve since bought another 2 sets. Handy to keep in the car or pram for entertainment

My grandson age 2 has loved all his learning cards. He actually asks to get them out as they make learning fun. I have seen his development progress using his cards to learn new words colours etc
