Choosing your writing mat

Starter Mat - If your child is under 3 years, I would start with a pre-writing mat (sold as a single mat or in a pack). This focuses on first name only and pre-writing skills.

Single Mat or Pack - A selection of writing mats can be bought as a pack offering greater value but they can also be purchased as single mats too.

Font - Most children start learning using our standard font but some school will teach using a precursive font (with lead in and exit strokes on the letters). If you know your child will be be taught using precursive handwriting in their reception year then pick a precursive mat.

Option 1: Triangular Pen, Cloth & Bag: Includes 1 x triangular pen; 1 x microfibre cloth; 1 x cotton drawstring bag

Option 2: Triangular Pen and Cloth Only: Includes 1 x triangular pen; 1 x microfibre cloth

Option 3: Triangular Pen Only: Includes 1 x triangular pen

Pen colour: Black

Note - The pen is a whiteboard pen to be used on high gloss surfaces such as our laminated learning resources and not general paper.  

Any felt tip pens also work fine on the mats

Bag care Instructions: Natural cotton; washing is not recommended

Bag dimensions: 14cm x 20cm

Cloth dimension: 15cm x 15cm (blue)

Pre-writing mats

These are amazing my 3 year old loves them and they are so easy to clean/use. Would recommend to everyone.

Nice product

Love the boards but seems very expensive for a piece of card.
I assumed like advertised it would one with the pink board to rest on but have now been told this is someone’s own and has just been used as advertising on their Facebook page so I was left a little disappointed.
Could not share where the pink board were from either.

Hi, thanks for your review and sorry you are disappointed with the price. It's a personalised product that takes time to produce and I make it double sided too which many other companies fail to do. For Under a £5 per mat I think this is a good price and certainly wouldn't include a board to rest on. I try to make sure the descriptions are as clear possible so customers know what they are receiving. As for telling you where the pink board in the video was from, I replied explaining that it was a customers and there was no way I could tell you where it was from. I'm not sure what more I could do. Jo x
